Instructors need to teach to the body in front of them. But how do you recognize what the body is telling you? How does the body’s posture tell you what it needs? This course will help you understand the role posture plays and will develop your teachers eye with the body scan and learning to read nonverbal cues to help identify the clients 4 S’s.

Course Objectives

At the end of the workshop the participant will be able to:

• Understand the role of posture
• Look at ideal posture, back function and postural deviations
• Develop his/her Teacher’s Eye using the body scan, nonverbal cueing, and the 4 S's
• Solve the puzzle to program development

Why should I take this workshop?

Being able to read bodies takes practice and understanding of what proper alignment and ideal posture look like both static and in motion. This workshop will look at the role posture plays, consider what ideal posture is and how to restore proper back function. It will review postural deviations and postural pain syndrome in motion. Clients are always giving nonverbal communication and cues. This course will help develop your eye and awareness of nonverbal cues and what these could mean. Along with being able to use the body scan to identify the 4 S’s, nonverbal cues can help guide you to help develop a program for individual needs and better serve your clients.
