An Integrative Approach to Menopause for Pilates Instructors with Laura Lance
Discover how to work with something that affects over half of the population and yet is poorly understood within the framework of wellness. We will look at the definition and scope of perimenopause and post-menopause, how these processes impact the body (it’s more than hot flashes!), integrative ways to impact symptoms, and how Pilates is a perfect exercise for women during “the change” and beyond.
Objectives:
1) Understand the impact and effects of perimenopause and post-menopause
2) Look at integrative wellness pathways to address symptoms
3) Discover how Pilates can be part of the integrative plan
Why should I take this session? Every instructor will have clients dealing with this at one point or another. This course will equip you to understand the process, know how to support your client with compassion (and yourself as you go through it), and understand how Pilates can play a big role in supporting your client through the process. You will earn 2 Peak Pilates CECs.
Equipment: Mat, ball, bands
What if I can't make the date and time?
