Explore the mechanics of jumping, how the jump board exercises can correct and improve feet, gait, lower limb performance and coordination, as well as develop core strength and cardiovascular endurance. Learn the basics on jump board class planning, and learn tips for creative choreography.
Objectives:
1) To understand the mechanics of jumping
2) To realize the benefits of jump board exercises to the body
3) Learn how to plan a jump board class
4) Learn basic and fancy jump board choreography
Why should I take this session? You will gain a better understanding of how jump board exercises can correct movement patterns, especially in the lower leg. You will be able to plan and teach jump board classes that are fun and challenging.
Equipment: Reformer, jump board, light hand weights (3-5 lbs), ball
