Description

The Baby, or Arm Chair is a unique piece of historical apparatus that has been somewhat lost in the repertoire of the full classical studio. This apparatus is the perfect place to introduce and develop the skills & connections for exercises found elsewhere through the system making our work as teachers easier & more productive. This apparatus is also ideal to work with special populations such as seniors, osteoporosis, pre/post natal, shoulder protocols, and head/neck protocols. Walk away with the knowledge & skills to work with your clients right away after taking this workshop.

Objectives:

At the end of the workshop the attendee will:

-Gain an understanding of the design & function of this apparatus

-Learn exercise vocabulary & technique both unique to the Baby Chair, as well as exercises that show up throughout the classical system

-Develop teaching skills, hands-on techniques & tools for the Baby Chair

Why should I take this workshop? Taking this workshop will empower you as a teacher to have a broader skill set to empower your clients by using the Baby Chair to address a broad range of populations. The Baby Chair is a missing link in the classical studio and you will load your toolbox with new exercises, as well as visit known exercises elsewhere in the system on this unique apparatus.
