Objectives:
At the end of the workshop the attendee will:
• Learn multiple new weight training exercises to incorporate into their Pilates repertoire that will teach them;
o Osteoporosis/penia prevention
o Muscle Strength
o Time efficiency in a workout
o Athletic training
• Learn correct form in using weights
• Learn how to gauge what weight amount to start from and how to increase the amount over time. Why heavy vs. light weights? Etc.
Why should I take this workshop? Pilates works the muscles but weight training can quickly build muscle and strengthen the bones as well as the muscles that surround the joints. Studies have shown that strength training with weights is more effective for gaining muscle mass than resistance training. Pilates, which is a form of resistance training, improves muscular endurance but may not lead to as significant strength gains.

Join me for a 120 minute mat, reformer and tower session that will introduce ways to incorporate weights into your Pilates routine for an efficient work out with gains!
