Rewind the Mat with Julia Hughes
Do you or your students sometimes question the mat order and why some of the more challenging exercises happen toward the end of the session? Would you have a stronger Teaser if you tackled it earlier in your 50-55 minute session? You will challenge the body, mind, and muscle memory in this fun CEC, while learning the importance of honoring the way Joseph Pilates began and ended sessions, and how we as Peak Pilates instructors do so.
3 Course Objectives:
At the end of the workshop the attendee will:
- Understand why the order, as it was created by Joseph Pilates, makes the most sense for the body
- Gain the tools to reverse the order for a challenging session
- Challenge the mind, body, and muscle memory of the order we know and love.
Why should I take this workshop? If you are looking for ways to challenge your mind and body, and that of your students, this workshop will help you do so. You will get both in this CEC. This class will give you a fresh perspective on the order and a new appreciation for how challenging and beneficial mat work is.
Equipment Needed: You will need a mat and yourself!
