Spinal Mobility on the Wunda Chair presented by Micheal Fritzke & Ton Voogt
Joseph Pilates famously said, "You are only as young as your spine is flexible" – a statement that remains relevant decades after it was first uttered. Going by this measure, we can safely say that many people's bodies are older than they should be. In this workshop, we will explore how to harness the unique characteristics of the Wunda Chair to maximize spinal mobility and, in essence, reclaim our youthfulness.
Equipment Needed:
• Wunda chair or MVe
• Moon box or Yoga block or something similar
• Pad
You are welcome to observe if you do not have apparatus and to use the recording to practice when you do!
Objectives:
• Explore the importance of spine flexibility, especially rotation
• Understand the difference between mobility and flexibility
• Discover how to improve mobility
• Experience exercises to improve mobility of the spine
Why should I take this session?
As an instructor you work with a variety of client needs- most clients can benefit from mobilizing the spine more efficiently and safely. You will gain clarity on why spinal mobility is essential for health and how to help clients improve mobility!
