Training an athlete is fun and challenging. Each sport has a repetitive movement. Pilates is a great way to cross train as it will build strength, mobility, endurance, and will help prevent injury. It is our job as instructors to find out the athlete’s goal for doing Pilates, identify their 4S’s (Strength, Stretch, Stamina, Stability) and work to create balance in their bodies.
This course will also take a look at the difference in training depending on which part of the season the athlete is in, and help guide a training program to help achieve maximum performance.

Equipment Needed: We will use the full studio. If you do not have access to everything- no worries, you can just observe and try exercises at a later date with the recording.

Objectives:

· Hone your understanding of the 4 S’s and how to identify them in athletes

· Develop your ability to examine at each sport and provide an outline for how to better train the athlete.

Why should I take this workout? Most athletes follow a training plan, this course helps create and guide you to a deliver a dynamic Pilates training plan for the professional or competitive athlete that will give them a performance edge.
